Professor Mathieu Molimard, MD, PhD,Bordeaux University Hospital, University of Bordeaux, INSERM U657, Bordeaux, France.Mathieu Molimard did his medical studies in Paris, at the Pitié Salpêtrière Faculty of Medicine (Paris VI). He then trained in Pulmonology as a resident of the Paris hospitals and subsequently whilst a registrar at the Saint Louis hospital and Lariboisière Faculty of Medicine (Paris VII) in parallel to studying Pharmacology (Université Paris V). In 1996 he became a Associate Professor and in 2000 Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Bordeaux.He has been a member of the Pulmonology-ENT work group for Market Authorisation Commission for more than ten years and a full member of the French Transparency CommissionMathieu Molimard is now Head of Biology and Pathology (with over 500 people) and on the Board of Directors of the Bordeaux University Hospitals; Head of the Department of Pharmacology in Bordeaux, a 100+ strong department with teams working in experimental pharmacology, therapeutic drug monitoring and toxicology, in pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology (an ENCEPP centre), in clinical pharmacology.He is the current President of the French College of Medical Pharmacology.
