Hello,My name is Mathieu Moreau, I am a graduate from both the Mechanical Technician - Millwright Program and the Electrical Engineering Technician Program at Durham College. My goal is to become a full-time 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrical Apprentice and obtain my Red Seal Certification. During the Mechanical Technician - Millwright Program, I have been thoroughly trained on how to safely use a wide range of hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as multimeters, wrenches, mallets, micrometers, height gauges, Vernier calipers, and other instruments in conjunction with the proper PPE usage. I have also been shown the techniques on how to correctly disassemble, rebuild and maintain various power transmission components, pumps, valves, bearings, and seals that are commonly used in the industry. Furthermore, I can read blueprints to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits and produce the required tolerances on a workpiece with the use of many precision machines such as lathes, mills and drills. To enhance my Millwright abilities, I have continued my education in the Electrical Engineering Technician program. In this program, I have learned about instrumentation, motor control systems (PLCs) and how to troubleshoot electronics.I am a hardworking, passionate and dedicated worker who loves to solve puzzles. I am very excited to start working as an Electrical/Mechanical Technician so that I can turn my passion of problem-solving into a full time career.
