Survey Party Chief (Instrmentperson)
Current-Act as working supervisor of field engineering survey crew for the purpose ofgathering information, elevations, detail & cross sections for pre-engineering surveys and post-construction surveys;-Ability to utilize AutoCAD & Civil 3D;-Conduct a field engineering crew for the purpose of determining elevations using a level.-Assume responsibility for the preparation & numerical reduction of field book notes &grade sheets as required for projects;-Assign duties & instructs junior members of a survey crew;-Perform pre-engineering surveys to gather field information detail. Lay out lines asestablished by designer for construction of roads, sewers, watermains, etc.;-Ensure all information requested in survey work order is provided complete and accurate;-Train survey crew members in the use of survey equipment and methods;-Perform surveys to determine as-builts for the purpose of assembling permanent records;-Perform duties of a Levelperson as required;-Perform duties of a Field Inspector as required;-Ensure all instruments are kept clean and in good working condition;-Arrange with outside agency to perform major repairs on all instruments as required;-Liaise with public in order to gain survey information;-Use AutoCAD Civil 3D & Eagle Point Survey Module to generate electronic Survey models from raw data collected with a Data Collector;-Able to set up & use a Level, Total Station & GPS surveying Equipment;-Able to operate a survey data collector on a Winows CE platform with Surv CE surveyingsoftware;-Use Eagle Point engineering design software Site Design & Surface Modeling Module tocreate surface models to create quantity reports for Rock & Grubbing removal as well as stockpiles from electronic data collected via GPS & Total station or manually input from survey field notes;
