Quantum is a small Startup specialized in high temperature measurement tools. As a Senior EmbeddedSoftware Engineer, I design and implement firmware for real time measurement while drillingtelemetry tools, working closely with the hardware team.

Developed different prototype boards such as RFID characterisation systems and low voltage, high efficiency power supplies, which included:- Selected the best circuit topology- Modelized, simulated and confirmed the choice of the best physical components (Pspice)- Designed multi-layer PCB (OrCad, Capture, Layout plus)- Programmed micro-controller (8051, C and assembly)- Tested and optimized the product (oscilloscope measurements and qualification)

Conducted applied research involving characterization and improvement of spatial localization for binaural cochlear implants users, which included:- Developed software generating electrical stimuli of the auditory nerve under a controlled electrical environment to ensure patient safety (Matlab targeting custom hardware)- Conducted experiment with respect of patient safety- Set-up of an experiment in an anechoic chamber measuring the subject’s ability to localize the source of a sound (MatLab software targeting custom hardware driving a field of loudspeakers).- Sounds propagation characterization in an anechoic chamber- Designed experiment protocols, analysed and published results (Apport des implants cochléaires binauraux pour la localisation spatiale d’une source sonore)
