As an M&A and finance professional, I believe that everyone should get access to independent advice throughout the entire deal cycle, to optimise value for all stakeholders involved.My PhD experience, where I was involved in a large number of research projects in the energy and telecom sector, shaped my analytical skills for detailed quantitative analysis, without losing general overview and project management principles. In addition, I gained in-depth knowledge of how companies in these sectors operate, and how regulation impacts their day-to-day operations. I worked with advanced financial modelling techniques, including real options and game theory, and learned how such quantitative analysis can support decision making.After obtaining my PhD, I started an internship at Down 2 Earth Capital. Through working with seasoned professionals, I gained insight in how M&A processes work. Today, I work as a manager for KPMG Deal Advisory. Based on advanced quantitative analysis, I offer advice on complex financing structures. I work on a broad spectrum of deals, including refinancings, M&A mandates and valuations, in various sectors. Large infrastructure projects, energy, telecom, industrial markets, consumer goods players and governments are just a few examples. Everyday, I see how our advice supports clients to create additional value for their stakeholders.
