The management of members and their activities is pretty complex and always evolving.- This was my first time as a consultant in a client environment. I had the chance to work with great tools and most of all great colleagues.

(Windows server, web management, Windows client).- Analysis of the old system (VB6) and new requirements for the new system of the clients (police departments, cities).- Conception of the Oracle database to support the new system.- Modular and iterative conception/development for the three applications of the new system.- Development of new functionalities for the code generator.What I learned:- Even though I learned a lot about emergency systems and how they are used in everyday's life, porting old VB6 systems to .NET is definitely not something I want to do. Great team and great environment though!

Client: Aldo Group- Conception and development of a decision support system that uses products data from multiple databases. This was a joint venture project between the CIRRELT research center at Université Laval and the Aldo Group.- Analysis of the needs from the key actors involved in the project (store managers, data analysts).- Iterative and modular conception/development of tools allowing data mining and exploration according to multiple parameters and dimensions.- Conception and development of a decision support system that uses forecast models.- Conception and development of a decision support system that allows the simulation of what-ifs scenarios for the resupply of products throughout the supply chain.- Scientific papers redaction (see below).Client: Procter and Gamble Canada- Conception and development of a decision support system allowing the representation of the supply chain and the flow of products of Procter and Gamble Canada according to several dimensions: Conceptual map, geographical map, datagrids.- Scientific papers redaction (see below).What I learned:- This was a tremendous working experience. I had the chance to work with an experienced team of researchers in a dynamic research center. The work we did had extra value, because not only it helped our client improve their supply chain decisions, it was also brand new research in our scientific field of research. - I had the chance to present (in French and English) our work in a few international conference to colleagues from all around the world.- I learned a lot about supply chain management, which was not in my competences before.- We also had great Rock Band nights in the labs! ;)

I learned time management the hard way.- I worked with consultants from several firms on many project. Great team, great people, great projects. I left to work full-time and pursue PhD studies at the CIRRELT research center.
