Currently serving as Director of Economic Affairs Western USA for Investissement Québec International, and based in San Francisco, Mathieu continues to drive success for Quebec-based companies, leveraging his comprehensive knowledge of international business dynamics and entrepreneurial acumen. From his tenure in Shanghai, where he served as the Quebec government's representative from 2012 to 2016, Mathieu successfully fostered relationships with key stakeholders, opening doors for businesses and facilitating their entry into the Chinese market. Mathieu has also held key leadership positions in the private sector. As Vice President at Saimen, in Shanghai, he guided critical decision-making processes, driving the company's expansion and success. Furthermore, as the Executive Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Mathieu implemented forward-thinking initiatives that energized the Canadian business community, fostering collaboration and creating a conducive environment for success. In 2018, he founded Niapisco, specializing in import-export trade between Canada and China. His strategic vision, coupled with his ability to identify opportunities, has enabled him to create innovative strategies, forge profitable partnerships, and drive growth for his clients. As a co-owner of Distillerie Puyjalon, he has displayed his adeptness at optimizing operations in the spirits and brewery industry. Mathieu holds a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from Université Laval, as well as a Master's degree in International Public Administration from the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) at Université du Québec.
