With a serious lack of relevant and up to date motorcycle news in the online sphere with a focus on the New Zealand motorcycle scene, I created onthrottle.co.nz in late 2018. As of July 2021, onthrottle has grown to a regular audience of well over 2000 unique users a month and continues to grow as the first stop for motorcycle news for Kiwi motorcyclists.

We recently combined the Powerband Podcast with the knowledge and expertise of the team at Kiwi Rider Magazine– New Zealand's longest-running motorcycle publication – by rebranding the podcast to Kiwi Rider Podcast.

Here my main role was to manage the online side of NZHerald's Driven magazine ranging from the driven.co.nz website to the brand's social media channels. I'm proud of what I achieved here, growing the Driven social media audience from a couple of hundred to over 10,000 followers.I also put time in writing stories for print and online, focusing on.

Sometimes you can only have one dream job, but somehow I stumbled onto a second in my job at BRM. I write content, from news stories about the industry to full on bike reviews, travelling the world, or travelling to Auckland. It's a sweet gig. Along with writing, I look after the Bike Rider Magazine social media accounts and liaise with the motorcycle.

Here I acted as the face of The Rock FM in Auckland and nearby areas. Interacted with the public, gave away freebies and prizes, acted as a corporate host and drove promotions vehicles around the place (without crashing them, this was important). Not gonna lie, it was a really awesome gig that I thoroughly enjoyed and totally would go back to if the chance.

I traveled across the wider Auckland area to promote various products, primarily food and drink products. I often had to learn to cook or mix drinks and then interact with the public with the goal of driving in store sales of the product in question.Here I learnt the promotions trades in's and out's and feel it set me up perfectly to enter the radio.
