About Mathieu Laprise

My camera is the perfect excuse to explore the world and satisfy my curiosity about its people. Whether it is in the film/television industry or within the humanitarian sector, I hope to creatively address issues that matter.I confidently approach projects as part of a team or as an audiovisual "one-man band". I have experience in directing, cinematography, screenwriting, camera work, and editing for both video and photography. I've worked in various media including film, television, and corporate settings, and I also have some experience in illustration and graphic design. I love mentoring creators from all backgrounds by offering advice and facilitating hands-on workshops. I use this skill set for fiction, documentaries, music videos, and everything in between. Out-of-the-box thinking is always at the core of my creative projects. As a native French speaker and passionate language learner, I have achieved fluency in English and intermediate-level proficiency in Spanish, and I am currently developing my beginner-level skills in Portuguese. Furthermore, I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge of Arabic.
