Mathieu Maes currently holds the position of Chief Impact Officer at the Brussels-based independent law firm DALDEWOLF, a role he has assumed since the year 2022. Prior to this, he garnered recognition as the Secretary General of the Belgian chapter of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Belgium), a tenure that spanned a decade. Distinguished as an expert and trainer in matters of corporate ethics and compliance, international trade mechanisms, and sustainability policy, Mr. Maes boasts a wealth of expertise. Preceding his involvement in the realm of international trade policy, Mr. Maes demonstrated active engagement in the domain of international trade. Notably, he spent eight years heading the Benelux distribution division of a prominent family-owned business. Additionally, he served in various capacities, including a tenure at the European Commission. Dedicated to the principles of multilateralism and conscientious globalization, he played an instrumental role in the establishment of the International Business Institute and the advancement of the No to Counterfeiting and Piracy foundation.
