Day to day running of the technical department.Assist Technical Manager on hotel projects.Responsible of 2 engineers, 2 storekeepers, 1 engineering assistant/draftsman and 36 technicians.In charge of the implementation of a policy for energy savings and conservation in our group.Responsible for the design of all technical buildings of all the hotels and other businesses of the group. This includes the designs of the air conditioning systems whether DX of chilled water, hot water, drinking water and refrigeration.Responsible for the development of BMS applications and more general control philosophies in the hotels and other businesses of the group.One of our recent innovations was the successful installation of a heat recovery system on one of our hotel central cold room systems. This enabled us to fulfill all the hot water requirements of the main kitchen of that hotel. This technique is now being replicated in other hotels and will generate a lot of savings.I am presently in charge of all the technical design of our new offices building. The latter, while having a very classical 'creole' architecture, will boast state of the art technical installations with a view to make it a low energy building. During the last couple of years, I have also worked a lot on the behalf of our CEO for his private sugar cane rum distillery, Rhumerie de Chamarel, as technical consultant. In charge of setting up a waste management policy for the group with a view to reduce the waste generation and to maximize the in house treatment of the waste.
