My employment history is unique and varied (encompassing everything from international rock semi-stardom to modern art to Alcatraz Island to cult fashion to maritime history), but I think there’s an important thread that connects it all: an urge to deepen people’s experience and appreciation of the world through art, design, writing, world-building and storytelling. I work very well with others and leave all ego and emotional baggage out of the equation; all of my jobs have involved cooperation among large numbers of diverse people, including much intra- and inter-departmental coordination and open workshopping of ideas. I have strong opinions but am flexible, thoughtful, reasonable, and able to consider and balance multiple varying viewpoints, and am always open to (and grateful for) healthy communication and collaboration. I’m a quick learner who’s able to accept direction and constructive feedback, and I approach everything I do — both within and outside of the professional realm — with respect, humility, curiosity, and fastidiousness.For the past three years, I worked as the principal copywriter for Jack Carlson’s Blazer Group (a fashion house consisting of the cult clothing labels Rowing Blazers, Warm & Wonderful, Gyles & George and Arthur Ashe), balancing the four brands' worth of content and voices across all channels: website copy (including brand boilerplates, technical PDP copy, product provenances, blog posts, etc.), marketing emails and SMS messages, social media captions, SEO optimization, Google and Facebook ads, press releases, third-party publications and more. I also functioned as a graphic and product designer for the company, working on branding, collection concepts, inter-brand collaborations, product CADs and various marketing assets.
