In principle this means almost all processes, since no real process is completely time independent. Over the years I have built a lot of dynamic process models for quite some different purposes (research, Operator Training Simulators, teaching, control or PLC testing, real time simulating (and coupling our software to the DCS software of almost all major vendors), optimisation, engineering). I have spent many many hours debugging these models and ran into all imaginable errors. During this 2 year eduction program, students (who already have an MSc in Chemical Engineering) will learn about design methods as they are used in industry and gain the ability to apply these. Graduate technical engineers are granted the degree 'Professional Doctorate in Engineering' (PDEng). Phd Research ProjectEindhoven University Of Technology, Department Systems And Control 1997 - 2003During my PhD I worked on the development of a modelling algorithm that is designed to effectively assist a model designer in building and maintaining consistent (dynamic) process models. The developed methodology was later implemented in the sofware tool Mobatec Modeller, which significantly reduces the modelling time and overall effort for model developers.
