Hi there, I'm Mathilde, originally from France and now based in the sunny Singapore 👋My passion for languages started in primary school, when my first English teacher taught me how to say my favorite color in English. I still remember how happy and proud I felt just being able to say "pink".Soon after that, I started learning German, and picked up Chinese in high school, dreaming to visit Beijing and the Great Wall. I've always found Chinese characters both beautiful and intriguing. My favorite one is 家 (jiā, family), which represents a pig under a roof 🤭As the years went by, I took an interest in Spanish, Indonesian and other Asian languages, language history, international communication and linguistics, which I am still studying in my spare time.In 2018, soon after I graduated with a Master's degree in translation, I started my own translation business and then became a localization manager, overseeing the localization of digital content on websites and apps in multiple languages — with enthusiasm and commitment.With time and experience, I have developed a unique eye for detail and precision, extremely valuable in delivering top-notch localized copy.As you may have guessed by now, I'm a curious language learner, but also a yoga addict, a PADI certified diver, and a passionate traveller and explorer.
