As an Environmental Advisor, I am responsible for preparing Incident Summary Reports, which are submitted to the Regulator and cover 'no impact', 'third party', and non-event scenarios. I work closely with many other areas of the business, including operational field teams, to ensure thorough and detailed investigations are undertaken and that high-quality, accurate information is provided to stakeholders. I build and maintain constructive relationships with the environmental regulator and provide internal advice regarding Environment Agency guidance and regulations, covering pollution incidents. I monitor pollution incidents to ensure all event information and impact evidence are captured and inconsistencies are challenged. This can include sampling location appropriateness, sample results, timeline of operational actions and telemetry. I assist with the development and implementation of strategies/projects under the Pollution Incident Reduction plan to achieve ODI targets.
