Drafting of a legal assessment on the adoption of a Universal Declaration on the Rights of the Ocean: emphasis on the need for a paradigm shift in international law from an anthropocentric to an ecocentric model that is more protective of Nature and more specifically of the Ocean; analysis of the functions and added value of such a Declaration; analysis of the interaction of the Declaration with existing legal regimes, in particular the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the recent BBNJ Treaty and the Convention on Biodiversity.Additionally, research work on a project relating to the recognition of the Rights of Whales (clarification of certain ecocentric principles, comparative study of national laws on marine sanctuaries).

- Research into case law (mainly waste law and the law relating to facilities classified for environmental protection, etc.).- Drafting of legal summaries and notes (police powers in relation to drinking water catchments, participative habitats, including legal and financial arrangements, funding assistance, support for participative habitat projects in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region) and blog articles - Legal research into substantive and procedural law (administrative law, environmental criminal law, civil procedure)- Drafting of letters and emails addressed to the administration and opposing parties- Participation in specific hearings in environmental matters (environmental criminal summary proceedings and offence of ecocide), interviews with clients - Administrative tasks (organising physical and digital files, managing the switchboard).

Research work for the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea in the context of the Cross-gov project which relates to the analysis of the marine dimension of the EU Green Deal. The aim is to enhance knowledge on how coherence and cross-compliance of marine related policies and legislation affect the realisation of the Green Deal goals for biodiversity protection, zero pollution and climate change adaptation and mitigation.

ELSA Lille is one of 17 local offices of ELSA France. At European level, the association includes more than 50,000 law students and recent graduates in nearly 375 faculties. ELSA is a non-political association that aims to create a platform for law students from all over the world to meet each other. Its main mission is to establish a professional network by promoting and intensifying cooperation between students, legal practitioners and academics, for example through internships, moot-courts and institutional visits. As Director of Seminars & Conferences, I have the opportunity to work with people who are as motivated and passionate as I am, proposing and organising various projects to boost student life at our faculty.

Research assistance on environmental issues and drafting of a report on the subject of international rights of nature.

This law firm specialises in many areas of law. During my internship, I had the opportunity to draft legal documents, including letters, summonses and submissions. I also conducted researches on case law and doctrines in various areas (civil law, criminal law, insurance law, etc.). During my training, I used software such as SECIB and DALLOZ.

The internship was in the department specialising in artificial intelligence. I took part in various projects, in particular the Open Access Strategy, which consists of creating a platform where scientists can pool their research in order to create a consistent data matrix that is accessible to everyone in order to enhance hte effectiveness of scientific research. I also took part in the publicity campaign to promote the Open Access Strategy. I worked on the drafting of a brochure on copyright addressed to different sectors, such as education, to popularise copyrights. I also had the opportunity to prepare a report on the partnership project between Japan, France, Canada and Germany on the topic of ethics in artificial intelligence.
