The thesis dealt with the global phenomenon Global Brooklyn, which is a series of aesthetic preferences, practices and values ​​that are emerging in many western cities in the restaurant industry. The phenomenon draws on several Western historical developments, including industrialization, and there is a particularly strong focus on social classes. The thesis was structured as a critique of the Global Brooklyn perspective, in which I examined the importance of a more intersectional perspective, focusing on race and ethnicity. I concluded that the perspective in its starting point was deficient, and that a focus on, for example, ethnicity would make the Global Brooklyn perspective more embracing. Through the thesis process, I have learned skills in project planning, where I have been responsible for all elements and steps in the process. Here I have specially developed my skills to assess and delimit an object field, and take a stand on the most appropriate methodological and theoretical approach. In addition, I have gained competencies in rapid change of project practice, where I can navigate in a changing environment.

The project was about whether the mapping of the mental work environment in Denmark is structured appropriately. It was a critical theoretical project that sought to investigate the methods used to map employees' psychosocial work environment across professional groups. We problematized whether a standardized questionnaire is useful for measuring mental processors in individuals. We concluded that although the questionnaire was based on relevant dimensions, the challenges of the individuals were reduced to scale ratios, and therefore are often neglected. In the mapping, the subjective problems disappear in favor of objective national averages, which make it difficult to make a real improvement in the mental work environment.As part of the project group, I was responsible for planning and structuring the project, as well as analyzing the material collected. In this I acquired knowledge about well-being in the labor market and the legislation regarding working environment in Denmark

Planning and execution of a project concerning the challenges of families with children durring COVID-19 lockdown in the spring of 2020. Contemporary project that focused on the challenges faced by families with children in a radically changed everyday life. Mixed Methods project that combined qualitative and quantitative methods, with predominantly psychological theory. We concluded that the challenges the families had were very different, but that there was overall insecurity and uncertainty among the parents. Some families were happy with the extra time with the children, while others stressed about homeschooling, work and childcare to be handled at the same time.In the project, I have developed my skills within structuring and planning of all phases of the project. Including competencies for overview, knowledge acquisition andqualitative and quantitative method use. Furthermore, I acquired competencies in readiness for change and flexibility as the societal circumstances changed from day to day.In addition, my focus was on how the collected data can be translated into relevant societal, psychological and cultural knowledge.
