This thesis work is carried out in collaboration with the institutes of CEA, ENS Lyon and Arkema.PHD project : Development of a UV-polymerizable adhesive with optimized properties for the encapsulation of flexible perovskite solar cells. Indeed, the adhesive allows to seal the encapsulation covers (glass or flexible gas barriers) and the quality of the encapsulation partly define the level of protection against the atmosphere, responsible for the lifetime of the devices (mechanisms of degradation occurring because of H2O, O2). The development of the adhesive was based on the modifications of the acrylic formulations dedicated for flexible solar applications, in particular thanks to an important photochemical stability and a bending resistance superior to the classical epoxy adhesives. The formulation has been adapted in order to reach better thermal resistance and gas barrier properties. That’s why a specific optical test has been improved to be able to measure the capacity of the adhesive to limit the lateral permeation of gases from the edges of an encapsulated device. Nanoparticles with a high form factor (such as zirconium phosphate) have been synthesized and then functionalized using different intercalation in order to be incorporated into the acrylic formulations to reinforce certain properties, including gas barrier properties by creating a tortuous path.The nanocomposite formulations developed have been characterized regarding their physico-chemical properties especially regarding their lateral permeation properties. Finally, perovskite solar cells, rigid and flexible, were encapsulated with rigid or flexible covers in order to carry out lifetime performances in damp heat conditions (85 ° C / 85% RH).
