Born in Sri Lanka amidst the turbulence of war, my journey has taken me across three countries, Sri Lanka, India, and Canada, each of which I proudly call home. This diverse cultural background has shaped my values and fueled my passion for creating meaningful, sustainable change.As the Co-Founder and CFRO of EvaGreen Planet, I am driven by a mission to transform waste into renewable energy and sustainable solutions. What began as a deeply personal reflection during my maternity leave evolved into a purpose-driven company committed to addressing global challenges like waste management, soil degradation, and carbon emissions.Our vision is clear: To preserve the environment, empower communities, and protect the future for generations to come! With nearly two decades at RBC, where I built a strong foundation in finance, strategy, and risk management, and a transformative journey through the EMBA program at McGill-HEC alongside inspiring entrepreneurs, I developed the perspective and expertise needed to align business success with sustainability. Along the way, I was fortunate to be guided by great mentors who motivated and shaped my transition into sustainable entrepreneurship. A growing sense of responsibility for future generations and a shared vision with my partners and CEO led to the creation of EvaGreen Planet, a company built to deliver both measurable environmental progress and meaningful economic impact.
