Advocate For Access To Information & Citizens’ Participation In Public Service Delivery.

● Led the implementation of access to information, social accountability, and public procurement programmes within AFIC members across 24 countries. ● Increased disclosure of public procurement information by 25% by training more than 500 public officials, private sector and civil society organisations on the Right to Information, Open Contracting in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, South Sudan and the Gambia. ● I enhanced open contracting knowledge among 300 officials and over 200 journalists, private sector and civil society combined through capacity-building sessions on their commitments to open contracting Uganda. ● Realised a 35% increase in the adaption and adoption of recommendations from four public contracts monitoring reports on the public procurement process and execution of the public contract /social accountability in the education, health, water and agriculture sectors at the local, national and regional levels in Uganda ● Improved citizens’ participation in public procurement by 15% by chairing over 60 district feedback meetings to engage public officials on implementing the Right to Information and citizens’ participation in public procurement. ● Through writing two (2) shadow reports on the status of Access to Information implementation and institutionalisation in Uganda, I obtained commitments from the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance to adopt recommendations. ● I increased advocacy and engagement sessions with the government for citizens’ engagement in accountability platforms and mechanisms in East Africa and West Africa through writing three (3) comparative studies reports on the impact of access to information. ● I attained a 5% increase in citizens’ interaction with public officials by facilitating over 50 community dialogue meetings to engage citizens on Access to Information and Open contracting and empowering citizens to interface with their leaders directly
