 Inward inspection of project materials and consumables Ensure the welding works are carried out as per the approved welding procedures, QC Plans and work instructions Verify the calibration status of Monitoring & Measuring devices pertaining to the welding works Liaise with the client QC representative for the day to day inspection activities as per the approved QCP and liaise with NDT sub-contractor on all NDT activities of the contract Ensure for the proper handling of welding consumables as per the manufacturer’s recommendations and as per the consumable handling procedure of L&T HCP. Compile and maintain relevant records of inspection & tests till the end of the contract. Advice project personnel in taking appropriate corrective and preventive action on non-conformances related to mechanical / welding works. Witness welder qualification test along-with the client QC representative, monitor welder’s performance and update the weld repair log.  Compile weld history sheets, verify weld inspection reports and ensure compliance to NDT requirements. Inward inspection of project materials related to Painting works. Verify the calibration status of Measuring & Monitoring devices pertaining to painting works. Ensure that the weather conditions are suitable for surface preparation Ensure that the surface cleanliness and surface profile of the blast cleaned surface are in accordance with the specification requirements. Witness field tests as applicable and interpret accurately. Ensure fulfillment of all inspection and test requirements at all stages as per PQP an contract requirement. Ensure that the copies of the applicable QCP’s and procedures are available at the work locations. Prepare, review and compile the relevant records of inspection & test related to painting works

• Associate with welding engineer for preparing WPS/PQR as per codes & specifications.• Experience in field joint coating like heat shrink sleeve, carried out for PQT and lab. Testing for HSS.• Visual and surface inspection before application of Paint and monitoring weather conditions as QC procedures. • Witnessing PQR, Technician qualification for BHFWPS for CS+PE Lining in associate with client representative. • Carry out visual and dimensional checks of piping spools, equipment, and skid and on shore structures as per approved drawings. Ensure post weld heat treatment is carried out as per approved procedure• Review and verification of MTC’s for Consumables, CS & SS Pipes, Valves, Flanges, Fittings, Gaskets, Stud bolts, GRE & PE pipes, Paint materials in accordance with codes & standards.• Daily Inspection of MSV Skids, Painting & Blasting, Rotolined & PE lined Spools, Pipe bends at subcontractor’s premises and associated with client Representative• Ensure that the materials, including welding consumables for welding storage/issue/usage.• Establish a numbering system for the welds, compile and maintain isometric /weld history sheets containing weld numbers and welder’s identification.• Preparation, implementation/monitoring and updating of contract quality plan, control procedures, Forms work procedures and work instructions, when required by QA/QC manager and Sr.QA Engineer.• Compilation of test packs as per PDO requirements and obtaining approval by PDO.• Notify any non-conformance identified during site inspection, and recommend corrective measures to site supervisor throw QA Engineer.• Experience in patrol and vendor inspection as per Approve procedures, Specification, QCP’s, QSP’s, Method statements, drawings codes and standards.

• Verification of raw material/product certificates received from vendor [First sample inspection]• Verify and Implementation of storage, Handling, Issue of welding Consumables Like Electrode, Filler wire, Shielding gas as per procedure• Witness and parameters monitoring of welder qualification test as per applicable WPS.• Ensure proper preheating interpass temperature, monitor purge gas, Welding parameter during welding as per applicable WPS.• Witness PT, MPI, LT, Hydro test associated with client as per Spec’s and approved procedure.• Witness necessary NDT testing as per applicable procedures• Monitoring contractors painting and coating operation, as per international code, standard and client specification.• Inspection of raw material ingots, billets, bars, castings and products as per codes and standards• Conduct Chemical composition analysis and mechanical testing for castings ferrous and anon ferrous.• Continuous monitoring of welder performance, Qualify welder as per the applicable Welding Procedure and Visual inspection of Joint preparation, Fit-up.• Carried out Inspection and Testing of Surface treatment methods Like Powder coating, short-blasting, Chromatizing, Anodizing, and Electroplating.• Making drawings Pokka Yoke jigs, fixtures, gauges for complicating casting to reduce rejections.• Carried out and witnessing Leak test for welded, machined and surface treated products.• Witness hot water test, slat spray test and Sealant impregnation test for treated components.• Preparing quality work procedure, method statement, process flow chart, failure mode data’s for powder coating and plated castings• Development of jigs and fixtures for after cast processes like machining, powder coating, chrome plating, anodizing etc..• Experience in machining and development of aluminium pressure die-casting and gravity castings.• Developing supplier system through manufacturing techniques like KANBAN, Poke-Yoke, Kaizen, etc.
