Serving as the Head Graduate Teaching Assistant for ME 37500 - Measurement And Control Systems II.

I worked in the metal shop as a Manufacturing Peer Mentor with students and organizations. I assisted them with CAM, as well as reviewed their designs for manufacturing (DFM). My goal was to assist them to go from ideation stage to design stage for their projects. Additionally, I taught them about GD&T.I trained the students to safely operate machines which included- CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, Waterjet, and Saws.

Created model to predict NOx conversion during sulfur poisoning of Cu-Zeolite SCR catalyst based on gas reactor testing.Validated CuZ sulfur model using extended engine dyno testing.Conducted literature review on sulfation/desulfation mechanics of Cu-Zeolite catalyst kit.Automated field issue data analysis reducing engineering effort by 2h/week.

I was running a large engine test cell as the primary engineer in support of 2024 diesel aftertreatment DEF mixer development. I communicated updates with stakeholders and partners and created test reports from the raw data using MATLAB. I wrote code for functioning of the test cell as per test plans and ensured maintenance of M&TE equipment. I explored automation and smoothening of testing workflow.Failure Mode Analysis and lean six sigma tools such as 7 step problem solving, were used by me to fix issues that would arise in the test cell. I created a DOE guide for a new type of thermal testing to be used at the facility.By tuning the PIDs in the test cell, I was able to improve cell ventilation and mitigate issues due to seasonal condition variation. I also researched and ordered coupler for Cummins 2.8L engine to solve resonance problem during testing.I commissioned a Zero Air Generator to reduce laboratory dependence on bottled gases which helped in reducing costs in the long run. This was accompanied by a lockout safety card and safety failure analysis of the device.I designed and built an automated test stand using Creo, PLC, and stepper motors. This was used to implement next generation testing technology in the test cell environment.

As an assistant, I helped in facilitating Open Water Pool Training sessions alongside the scuba diving instructor. We made new divers comfortable underwater and assisted them with kit set up and underwater skills. I also improved the company’s marketing strategy, by creating promotional and educational videos which reached a total of 4333 people.

A major part of my internship was data mining for prospective customers for expansion in the B2B space. This was done based on set criteria regarding industries, and locations being targeted depending on the quarterly goals. I created an Arduino based Industrial Oil Level sensor to measure oil quantity.
