(Sysco Labs Sri Lanka is a Global In-House Center (GIC) under the ownership of Sysco Corporation, the global industry leader in food services.)I am currently serving as a Software Engineer at the Supply Chain Division of Sysco Corporation, I've made significant contributions to two pivotal projects within the Supply Chain Division's Performance Culture Engineering domain.Active Responsibilities:1.Delivering solutions by aligning with project requirements and best code standards.2.Ensuring security standards within the project.3.Maintaining project-related documents up to date.4.Actively collaborate with other technical teams within the organization to seamlessly integrate their systems with ours.5.Conducting demos for product and leadership teams.6.Demonstrating leadership through proactive initiatives that drive project success and foster innovation within the team.Key Highlights:1. Involved in initiating the projects from their inception, taking a hands-on approach to requirements gathering, streamlining MVP scope through productive discussions with product teams, and top-level management. This allowed for the development of well-defined project roadmaps and cost estimates.2.Played a part in system architecture design, following the C4 architecture model to provide a optimized cost effective solution and collaborated closely with the UX team to develop front-end design.3. Assumed the role of hypercare support during Go-live periods, ensuring seamless operations by monitoring application logs and promptly addressing alerts.4. Spearheaded the development of proposed new security architecture, which was successfully piloted and gained top-level management approval for adoption across the division.

I actively contributed to a pivotal project which revolved around the calculation of Sysco driver's performance, a pivotal project in Sysco's Performance Culture domain. In this role, my responsibilities encompassed delivering impactful solutions and improvements while providing essential support to the product team. I ensured that the project adhered to rigorous security standards, gone through proper end to end testing, upheld code quality standards, and maintained high levels of test coverage.

As an Intern I got to work at Sysco's Driver domain within Supply Chain Division, I had the opportunity to contribute to a significant project aimed at gathering and analyzing driver feedback during their journeys to deliver items to customer locations. This experience provided me with valuable insights and hands-on exposure to a diverse range of technologies and responsibilities, showcasing my adaptability and growth during this internship.Highlights of Responsibilities:1.Collaborated in the development of the project that encompassed a mobile front-end (Kotlin), web front-end (React/Express.js), Spring Boot backend, and PostgreSQL database. The tech stack also included AWS services (S3, ECS, CodeBuild, Lambda, CDN) and Concourse pipeline(CI/CD).2.Delivered solutions for various features and fixes, actively contributing to the project's success and meeting tight project deadlines.3.Played a crucial role in knowledge transfer to new team members, sharing insights on the project. Actively engaged in documenting project-related contents, enhancing the project's sustainability and aiding in future team collaboration.4.Gained hands-on experience in deploying solutions to production, handling production incidents, and formulating effective release strategies.5.Collaborated seamlessly with onshore team members, enhancing cross-border communication and teamwork.
