He firmly believes that these factors are key to the growth of small businesses.In 2015, Mathushangar established V-ignite with the mission of assisting small businesses in setting up robust accounting functions. Advocating for monthly performance reviews, he enables business owners to make timely and informed decisions. Today, V-ignite, under his leadership, supports 250+ small business owners in their growth journeys.In July 2016, Mathushangar joined BNI, the world's largest business networking organization, during its early stages in Sri Lanka with fewer than 30 members. Progressing from a Chapter leader, Ambassador, and Director consultant, he played a pivotal role in launching Sri Lanka's first platinum chapter, BNI Inspire. Currently serving as a Regional Director, he successfully launched BNI Negombo, witnessing the network grow to 500+ members generating over 3+Bn worth of businesses in a year, and working towards expansion into other cities in Sri Lanka.Recognizing the importance of reading for business success, Mathushangar set up Pick-a-book, a global book club in Negombo, providing a platform for like-minded existing and future leaders to explore the world of reading as he believes Readers are Leaders.In 2020, he established accountants.lk, aiming to groom young accounting professionals by providing global exposure and entrepreneurial experiences as part of continuous professional development. This vibrant community, is thriving with various activities.V-ignite, BNI, Pick-a-book, and Accountants.lk form the four pillars of his commitment to helping business owners. However, this is not the end – Mathushangar's dream project, Virtual Accountants, is in the works. With the goal of supporting 10,000 micro-businesses globally, he is actively seeking like-minded people willing to invest $100,000 in this impactful venture. Mathushangar is excited about the journey ahead and the positive impact they can create together. Born in Thavady, a small village in Jaffna, and currently residing in Colombo, his journey reflects a commitment to making a difference in the world of business.
