My research topic is “Development of an Hydrometeorological Early Warning System in the Central Region using the WRF model”

• Evaluation of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) mesoscale model weather forecast (temperature, precipitation and wind speed) in the province of Córdoba.• Collaborator in the implementation and evaluation of a parameterisation for the forecast of gusts in the province of Córdoba.• WRF model performance research collaborator. • Collaborator in the implementation of the WRF‑Chem model. • Implementation and calibration of the WRF‑Hydro model (in progress). • Development of an algorithm in Python for regridding IMERG‑F precipitation to the WRF‑Hydro domain. • Development of an auto‑calibration algorithm in Python, which allows multiple WRF‑Hydro simulations to be run with different sensitive parameters and simulated results to be plotted against observed results. • Development of an algorithm in Python for regridding Automatic Weather Station precipitation observations to the WRF‑Hydro domain. • Collaborator in the implementation of the WRF‑Solar model. • Performance analysis of the ERA5 reanalysis for wind and solar radiation in Cordoba. • Initialisation of the WRF model using initial and boundary conditions from ERA5 model. • Initialisation of the WRF model using initial and boundary conditions from German ICON model.• Development of an algorithm in Python for regridding radar-based QPE (Quantitative Precipitation Estimation) to the WRF‑Hydro domain (in progress).
