I learned new skills (including barista, professional cleaning and food hygiene, and POS system skills) in a short period of time whilst starting the actual job. I successfully upsold products to customers and engaged with them in friendly conversation whilst multi-tasking and making their order. Therefore I am accustomed to working with a diverse team in fast-paced, demanding environment.

For the magazine, I interviewed two individuals and wrote articles on them. I had to work to a tight deadline and high quality standard, as well as ensuring I was using a style of writing specific to the magazine and its target audience. Therefore I believe I proved my capabilities in writing professionally and representing a publication.

I organised many events for the society, including organising a retreat for twenty-two members and supervising them during the trip to a different country. I also lead a committee of six other students, maintaining teamwork and project commitment. I had to keep track of our budget for the year when our treasurer was absent for most of the school period. I trained four new members of staff in customer service and catering assistance. I worked as part of a team in a busy market cafe during rush hours and holiday periods, therefore proving my ability to work under pressure and demanding conditions.
