Hello there! I'm a software developer with a background in game design and digital art. I had my first brush with web development in Middle School, when I was asked to create an animated intro sequence for a construction company's website using Adobe Flash. The responsiveness of the program and the elation of communicating with the software using basic JS stuck with me, and when the same company asked me to revamp their entire frontend years later, I was thrilled to and have been hooked ever since.I was able to further cultivate my interest in web development in college studying Interactive Multimedia, a relatively new major designed to marry the technical aspects of a computer science curriculum with the creative flair of a fine arts curriculum. And although the courses gave me an excellent grasp of user interactivity theory-- what makes a piece of media engaging, interactive, intuitive, etc-- I found myself lacking in the department of technical skills, having only interacted with niche JS libraries and some HTML/CSS. No amount of storyboarding and hypothesizing can create a tangible product, so I joined a full-stack engineering bootcamp to learn the skills needed to create the things I so often ideated. My current repertoire now includes JavaScript, Python, React, Redux, Express, Flask, SQL, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and a much stronger grasp of HTML5 and CSS3.Now I'm looking to combine my background in multimedia and web development to create beautiful and efficient web projects.In my spare time I enjoy building needlessly ornate architecture in open-world survival games, frolicking with my pet ducks, and remixing mismatched pop music by ear on my violin.
