About Matilde Cittadini

I am a third year Ph.D. student at the Igop (Institut de Govern i Polìtiques Pùbliques) UAB.My interest in the research field concerns the study of Public and Social Policies, with a particular focus on Universal Basic Income, Minimum Income schemes, the theory of intersectionality, youth transitions and precarity. Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, and I have a basic level of German. Currently studying Catalan. My international background has been created by studying in the US for one year during high school, then moving to Germany for 6 months in 2018/19 taking part in an Erasmus program, and now studying and working in Barcelona.Willing to delve into a career that will allow me to share, enrich, and put into discussion my knowledge by getting in contact with different ideas, cultures, and backgrounds. For this reason, I would like to undertake a career in the public sphere of politics, either in the study or in the active process of design and analysis of them.

    POLBIS ( The Politics and Policy of Basic Income Schemes: Lessons from Italian and European Cases) is a project led by the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies at the University of Padua, and financed by the Cariparo Foundation under the grant ‘Scientific Research of Excellence 2018’. My role in this project consisted first in gathering and analyzing documents and data produced by the various actors involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the B-MINCOME and by other scholars. Then I gathered first-hand information by conducting semi-structured interviews with key informants, who were actively involved in the various phases of the development of the B-MINCOME.
