Data is new gold. I don't really feel it yet but I believe it's true. I have been working in data business or more precisely consumer/customer data for some time now and have felt the value of it when it is turned into intelligence. I am glad I had opportunity to help and support the creation & maintenance of many brands, products and services mainly from service sector and retail. I am thankful I was given so many opportunities to work with many great people coming from different industries. Data and analytical approach has always been essential part of my professional activity and I am sure data profession has not yet revealed itself. The relevance of data more precisely personal data has been definitely acknowledged by the EU with the GDPR. Even more. The data is very likely to become an asset. And the EU is the first part of the world, that decided that this asset belongs to the ones that generates it, that is the end consumer. This will change the way how will we perceive it. There are many accomplishment in my career that I can be proud of but I also made many mistakes. I take these mistakes as lessons to be learned and not to be repeated.
