Council Bluffs, Ia

- Provided construction observation for drilled shaft piles and prestressed girder placement on a $5 million NDOR pedestrian trail. - Generated two test pile field reports and over 300 auger cast pile field installation records for a $3 million water equalization basin. - Evaluated soil boring samples to measure strength, plasticity and grain size distribution for determination of soil bearing pressure. - Conducted laboratory unconfined compression and Proctor compaction tests; liquid and plastic limit tests; hydrometer and sieve analysis. - Performed concrete slump and entrained air test, nuclear gauge soil density and moisture content tests.

Joined MBH Architects in Alameda, California, and was part of their Specialty Retail Design Team. My main focus within the group was to develop Design and Construction Documents for Apple® retail stores. Other projects included; Gap®, Starbucks®, and Quicksilver® retail stores.-Developed Design and Construction Documents for multiple new Apple Retail Stores.- Determined optimal layouts based upon site constraints and standard template documents.- Coordinated the design execution between the client and landlord.- Worked as part of a team in assembling multiple projects documents while meeting project deadlines.- Developed extensive knowledge of detailing and assembling professional quality drawings with AutoCAD.

- Interrupted Construction Documents to build a preliminary 1:32 scale model of the Breslow Residence.- Crafted a final 1:16 scale presentation model, which was presented by the architect to the local housing authority.- Worked directly with the principal architect to achieve the desired aesthetic of both the models.- Attended meetings with the principal architect who conveyed the intent and developed project deadlines.
