I worked as an analyst, investigator and project manager. As an analyst, I made all the reports we used in the projects and when we then carried out the projects, I was the project manager and I then helped as an investigator to complete the projects and report them to prosecutors. As a project manager, I collaborated with staff at various authorities such as the Social Services, the Rescue Service, Customs and Norrköping Municipality. We also held trainings every year, for school staff, students and parents. This was a new way of working for us and we succeeded so well that we were named one of Sweden's three most successful local police stations, during an inspection carried out by the National Criminal Police during this time. The reports I made before we started the projects, contributed to us succeeding so well in our way of working. I learned that as a project manager I was good at making decisions when we would carry out various coercive actions, I knew when our material was good enough for a conviction and this made us effective and did not waste a lot of unnecessary time.

I trained Afghan police officers in how to use intelligence in their daily police work. I held these trainings both in Kabul and in various provinces throughout Afghanistan. Most of the time I was in Kabul, where I visited various police stations or police checkpoints daily. I have learned that if you are honest and straightforward, show consideration, respect and understanding and take the time to really listen to the other party, then you can do and talk about almost anything in a positive spirit.

Kashmir

Military observer for a year in Kashmir. The main task of UNMOGIP (United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan) was to monitor the ceasefire between India and Pakistan along the standstill line in the Jammu and Kashmir area. I worked both with the mission's main mission and in the mission's main staff as Operations Officer. the mission's chief of staff as Operations Officer. In this role, I planned and supervised the mission's operational activities, where the safety of observers was a top priority. I constantly made different risk assessments, depending on what happened, to try to minimize the risks to our observers. It was very inspiring to work in Kashmir, I am good at planning activities, love new contacts and went home after a year with the highest possible grade, Superior.

The Middel East

Military observer for one year in the Middle East. The main task of UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) is to monitor the ceasefire between Israel, Lebanon and Syria as well as the peace agreements between Israel, Egypt and Jordan. I worked both with the mission's main mission and as an Operations Officer at the field office in Egypt, where I was also deputy station manager. The work was the same, with the same tasks, which I previously had in UNMOGIP (see above). I went home after this year with the highest possible grade and Force Commander's motivation: "a role model for the UN and his country".

My position was Deputy Company Commander at the Swedish Transport Company which was part of UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon). Our area of ​​work was the southern part of Lebanon against Israel. Our company constituted the entire mission's transport resource.
