I've been running my own company as my primary employer for one and a half year. This includes running all the aspects of the company, from customer relations to accounting. The company focuses on developing in-house and custom web applications for other companies.I'm currently in charge of the technical platform for a local search engine with a national distribution in Norway's largest owner of local newspapers (Amedia). We're currently building the next generation of local directory services (yellow / white pages) and other geolocated content.While at Østfold University College we built several solutions that during the last three years have been implemented and launched by large institutions such as Nokia, TomTom and Berkeley. We did not develop prototypes for these companies, but we wrote software and built working versions of geo aware applications on mobile phones.I'm also still running and maintaining the largest online site in Norway where users can arrange their own online games tournaments. The site was developed entirely on my own time, and are currently serving over 100 tournaments each weekend.The industry around gaming and games have been another interest of mine, which lead to writing reviews and following the industry closer while working freelance for Gamer.no since 2003.Specialties: I've been a very active developer of web based applications since 1998, using PHP, Java (Struts) and python. Since 1996 I've also been an active member of the norwegian demoscene, although with infrequent contributions. I have a particular interest in solving down-to-the-metal technical issues and problems which require a bit more thinking than simply applying a design pattern or an existing out-of-the-box algorithm.
