68 m Lurssen Motor Yacht New Build Project. Private yacht. Involved from before the first drawing through build completion, fitting out, delivery and first year of operations. Assisted in writing of build specifications. Supervised all aspects of entire design and build process, including supervision of all building trades, inspecting and approving all on and off-site works, all supplies, invoices and bills. Instrumental in specifying, sourcing and selection of most Owner Supply equipment and vendors such as A/V, deck equipment, Tenders, Galley & Service areas designer, Service providers etc. Specified, negotiated and approved contracts for most Owner Supplies. Selected, hired and managed 22 crew as well as numerous consultants/contractors.

Commissioned and staffed yacht with very short notice, then ran very successful charters and owner trips non-stop for 2 ½ years interrupted only by repositioning trips and brief yard periods in France and Florida. Managed extensive refit at Astilleros de Mallorca, including extensive exterior paintworks, interior refurbishment, complete engine overhauls etc..Resigned position to join Hermitage Project, see above.

40 m New Build Project @ RB Dereli Yachts.Joined what appeared to be the final stages of a new construction project in Tuzla, Turkey. Acted as Captain & Owners Representative during Captains extensive medical leave. Instrumental in uncovering extensive fraud by subcontractors. Responsible for selecting, sourcing & importing all required equipment for Deck Department, Emergency Medial Supplies, Navigation, LSA & Fire Fighting equipment. Supervised and trained two deck crew. Maintained two Tenders. The Captain and myself resigned our positions as the builder was incapable of completing the vessel in a reasonable time frame.

Worked closely with the owner over several years to develop concept & specifications of two 65' aluminum high-specification, high-latitude, very high quality “mini super-yacht” cruising cutters. Later supervised building at Gowerok in Aalsmeer, fitting out by W.F. Dörr in Lemmer, rigging at Proctor Mast in Vlissingen and final completion in Amsterdam.
