PhD Candidate, Department of Chemistry – Colorado State University Flux Closure Study (FluCS 2021) • Investigated the chemical composition of VOCs at a remote coniferous forest made at Manitou Experimental Forest Observatory (MEFO). • Measurements were made from the NCAR tower via custom built switching inlet at six different heights, using a High-Resolution Time-of-Flight Iodide Chemical Ionization Mass Spectrometer and High-Resolution Time-of-Flight Proton Transfer Reaction Mass Spectrometer.• Raw data was processed in Igor and MATLAB, post-campaign calibrations made with a Filter Inlet for Gases and AEROsol (FIGAERO).• QA/QC and synthesis of 3 mass spectral datasets into a Reactive Organic Carbon framework, which was organized into MATLAB data-structures based on: chemical family and measurement height. Statistical analysis performed to understand VOC transport throughout the forest canopy. Graduate Student, Department of Chemistry – Colorado State University House Observations of Microbial and Environmental Chemistry Study (HOMEChem 2018)• Investigated aerosol composition, dispersion, and dilution-driven evaporation of cooking emissions in the indoor environment.• Near-field measurements made using a Thermal Denuder in tandem with a Time-of-Flight Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor.• Raw data was processed in Igor and MATLAB, dispersion and transport of emissions modeled using a VBS framework in MATLAB.Secondary Organic Aerosol Production of Biofuels Chamber Study 2018• Investigated secondary organic aerosol production from the oxidation of biofuels at the Colorado State University’s environmental chamber located at the Powerhouse. • Aerosol composition measurements made using a Time-of-Flight Aerosol Chemical Speciation Monitor.
