As an Associate Director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), I specialize in advising clients on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) strategies, spanning strategic development, market analysis, project execution, and commercial readiness.My journey started with a strong foundation in Chemistry, earning a degree from the US Naval Academy and completing my PhD at Rice University. I began my career as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Houston-Downtown, where I authored "Inorganic Chemistry for Dummies." Seeking practical applications for my expertise, I transitioned into the energy industry as a licensed petroleum engineer. I worked on transformative CO2-enhanced oil recovery (CO2-EOR) projects in West Texas, collaborating with industry leaders such as KinderMorgan CO2 and Occidental Low Carbon Ventures.Fueling my passion for environmental impact, I joined Carbon America, a Denver-based start-up, as their VP of Subsurface and VP of Projects, designing and implementing full-scale CCUS projects to capture value from the US 45Q tax credit and various Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) programs.Beyond my professional pursuits, I cherish quality time outdoors with my family and our beloved rescue Labrador, Rocky.
