Matt serves as CFO for South College and leads Finance, IT, and Analytics.Prior to joining South College, Matt was CFO of Dominion Senior Living and before that spent spent almost a decade with the Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC) where he served as Vice President of Business Analytics and oversaw information and operational strategy until the Company was sold in 2018. He built the Company’s business analytics department from the ground up and was integrally involved in strategic management of film, labor, pricing, marketing, and the loyalty program. In addition to his operational responsibilities, Matt also built and managed the team responsible for the selection, review, and approval process for capital expenditures, including new construction and renovations. After leaving Regal, Matt started a machine learning software company specializing in labor management and revenue optimization.Matt spent the first five years of his career in public accounting. He started working in tax and audit and earned his CPA license. Matt was then recruited to join a national accounting firm’s Chicago based M&A Group where he served as Manager. He left public accounting to take a controller position at a VC backed software company where he worked until joining Regal.Matt is involved in various philanthropic and academic organizations and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Episcopal School of Knoxville. He served on past Boards for the University of Tennessee's Business Analytics and Statistics Department (past president), Nucleus Knoxville (past president), Goodwill Industries, Dream Connection, Cerebral Palsy Center, and Young Variety. Additionally, Matt enjoyed teaching Business Administration (adjunct) at the University of Tennessee.
