CurrentProjects include:- Independent Reporter (ORR/Network Rail): audit of accuracy and reliability of Network Rail’s reporting of regulatory performance metrics, reviewing performance forecasts ahead of each Control Period (2009 – present)- Performance forecasting: Developing performance forecasts for two TOCs as part of their Annual Business Plan submissions to DfT (2022 – 2024)- Industry revenue recovery reporting in GBRTT: publishing reports summarising latest trends in the recovery of passenger demand revenue following the COVID-19 pandemic (2021 - 20024)- EMA Evaluations; Lead Evaluator for operational performance delivery for two TOCs (for DfT) and part of operational performance delivery evaluation for ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper (for Transport Scotland) (2021-2022)- Provided expert advice on performance for a TOC as part of a Sustained Poor Performance claim (2020 – 2023)- Evaluation of financial risk associated with contractual performance KPI regime for a bid for the Dubai Metro and Tram, covering operating performance, customer satisfaction, maintenance and safety (2019 – 2020)- Franchise and Concession bidding; supported over 20 franchise and concession bids, both in the UK and overseas; roles include Performance Delivery Plan lead, development of performance model, analysis of performance data (2004 – 2024)- Expert advice to an insurance company related to a claim from Network Rail for financial losses under the Schedule 8 regime (2019)- Technical Advisor roles for Transport Scotland (ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper: 2012 - 2015) and DfT (West Coast Partnership: 2015 – 2019); developing performance comparator models and supporting the setting of performance benchmarks.
