General shift operations supervisor in Security Services and Field Services. Occasional duties as the acting Officer-In-Charge. Develop, mentor, and evaluate employee performance. Transition Team Supervisor February 2020 - Present. Planning and implementation of a $148 million Jail Consolidation Project. Design, policy development, and training.Traffic Section Supervisor Jan 2016 - February 2020. Administer more than $1,000,000 in grant and contacted services funding. More than $650,000 of this funding is for High Visibility Enforcement details I coordinate with other state and local agencies. Serve as Chair of the Dane County Commission of Highway Safety. Presenter at the 2016, 2017, and 2018 Governor's Conference on Highway Safety. Presenter at the 2017 and 2018 TraCS Users Conference.K9 Unit Supervisor from Nov 2006 - Dec 2011. The Unit achieved four straight years of call volume growth, overall Unit call volume increased 130% and patrol canine teams increased call volume 348%. Oversaw the successful training of five new canines. Wrote several policy updates, developed a values based Regulation and Policy for the K9 Unit, oversaw the Unit’s budget, and wrote resolutions to the County Board Personnel and Finance Committee. Worked with community leaders to establish a not-for-profit organization (Dane County K9, Inc) to fully fund expenses previously paid out of pocket by the canine handlers. Researched, wrote, and submitted several budget requests annually.

Served the Village of Cambridge as part of a contracted policing agreement with the Sheriff’s Office (Nov 2001 - Feb 2006). Provided law enforcement services based on Community Oriented Policing philosophies. Worked with the Village Board, school district, chamber of commerce, and other local civic groups. Administrative duties included monthly reports to the Village Board, budgeting, equipment maintenance, training part-time deputies, and Court Officer. Wrote a Federal grant in May 2002 under the COPS in Schools Program. Grant for $125,000 was awarded to the Cambridge School District in September 2002, allowing for the implementation of a School Resource Officer. Certified as a Federal Motor Carrier Inspector. Served on the committee established to oversee the formation and implementation of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Team.

Assigned primarily to general patrol functions. Assigned to the Dane County Narcotics and Gangs Task Force street level enforcement section (Blue Blanket) working targeted patrols and assisting with search warrant execution. Assigned to the Sun Prairie Task Force working major cases with the Detective Bureau and targeted neighborhood enforcement details.
