As a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with a Master of Arts degree from Rollins College, I am passionate about providing culturally competent therapeutic services to clients through a trauma-focused lens. I have experience working with diverse populations and utilizing a variety of approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and other effective modalities tailored for each client.Currently, I am working at Simmons Counseling Services, where I strive to deliver quality mental health care. I also have experience working as a counselor intern at the Rollins College Cornell Counseling Clinic and The House Next Door, where I supported clients with various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. I am skilled in individual therapy, group therapy, crisis counselling, and treatment planning, and I have obtained certifications in telehealth and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. My goal is to continue to grow as a counselor and to help clients achieve their optimal well-being.
