Intern with the HERO Child Rescue Corps, which was a joint Special Operations Command (SOCOM), National Association to Protect Children, and Homeland Security Investigations partnership which provides disabled veterans an entry level career pipeline and training program with the end goal being a certified Computer Forensic Analyst with Homeland Security Investigations. One of 18 candidates out of 200+ applicants selected for the HERO Child Rescue Corps Training Program in Orlando, Florida, and Washington D.C. I studied and trained in basic computer forensics and obtained the following certifications: COMP Tia A+ 901 and 902, Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Certification, FTK Imager Forensics Certification, and Encase 8 Certification; also familiar with Griffeye Analyze and Internet Evidence Finder. Conducted and completed a 13 month internship with Homeland Security Investigations field office in Savannah, Georgia, where I assisted with investigations for human trafficking, child exploitation, narcotics, homicide, and fraud cases. Some of my other roles and daily activities included: working with state and local law enforcement officers, conducted surveillance, participated in search warrants, undercover operations, compiled reports for special agents and other computer forensics analysts in compliance with federal and state regulations.

Assisted in the training with Savannah Fire Department where the local fireman instructed alongside Ranger personnel in medical hoisting and first aid operations in urban environments. Conducted combat training and hostage rescue scenarios with Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department’s SWAT team. Wrote and implemented new standard operating procedures for soldiers to be properly trained on first aid, weapons systems, and other important tasks upon arriving at the unit.
