Merchandiser, Creative Director, Linebuilder, ConsultantSteve Madden Sep 2018 - Mar 2019Long Island City, Ny, UsWorked as a consultant to strategize and win a private label account for a large US department store to add footwear to their all door product assortment. Using extensive marketplace research and the private label brand's DNA I created the line architecture and brand signatures as well as analyzing competitors to position the product and price-points. As the Creative Director I designed all styles and worked with a diverse supply chain to sample and present to the retailer an entire year's potential assortment which consisted of 85 styles from sneakers, sandals, ballet flats, loafers, booties, boots and other casual items. Steve Madden was one of many companies vying for the business; with other top executives at the company the business was won. The first Fall season order was an all door buy of roughly 250,000 pairs. The estimate for the first year's buy was ~1 Million pairs all based on the development from my initial assortment. While at Steve Madden, based on the extensive trend research that I did, I also consulted for other brands in the portfolio on their casual assortment to bring in a fresh perspective and introduce a more on-trend offering. -
