When I left school in 2006 I joined the Scania GB brand which is where I carried out my engineering apprenticeship in heavy vehicle engineering to GNVQ Level 3 status I then went on to do various master technician courses and after working on various shifts I decided to go onto the breakdown van. When I left in 2010 the idea was to further my carreer and when I joined Valley Trucks things looked promising until I came to the conclusion that the company for various reasons was not for me. I initially joined Galleon Travel when it was owned by the centrebus group and it was only meant to be for a summer just to help out. In october 2010 the chance arose to buy the company from centrebus and I brought the business back into the family. When we first took the company back we had 3 vehicles and one school contract and our private hire was very much seasonal. We now have 40 vehicles, 7 school contracts and 8 local bus services.This massive expansion has been a joint effort through out the family and has seen us become an award winning business, each of us have our own expertise in certain fields of the industry and we hope to keep on expanding long into the future.Winner - Harlow Business Awards 2013 - Business Growth
