Project Engineer for the delivery of multi £m redevelopment project including the management of Contractors and the management of Health and Safety of the project delivery on a ‘live’ site in an area open to the public.

Project Manager and Principal Designer for the designed and delivery of multi £m Highway Maintenance capital works contracts over a 3 year period. Project managed the implementation of the authorities fleet review; including developing and maintaining the authorities Fleet Demand Plan for light vehicles.

Responsible for the management and the Health and Safety of a large multi-disciplined and multi-skilled workforce. Responsible for the operational management, including the financial viability, ongoing relationship management with the Client and Commercial acumen of a Term Maintenance contract with Warrington Borough Council. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of a working depot and medium sized fleet.

Provided leadership and technical support to a team of 6 officers, ensuring the implementation of the portfolio’s aims and objectives.Developed and managed the authority’s maintenance and contract functions relating to a highway maintenance service including controlling the authority’s revenue expenditure.Developed, implemented and managed the authority’s highway inspection system and highway enforcement procedures.

Developed and implemented processes and systems to ensure better compliance with the New Road Streetworks Act and raise the quality of the work carried out for 3 water main renewal contracts.

Identified, designed and supervised minor maintenance works and major capital works identified through both Highway Inspections and the authorities Local Transport Plan.
