▪︎Working in a fast-paced deployable environment I was responsible for a team of 3 skilled personnel providing CIS for the site of around 250 users in an austere environment. ▪︎As the Units Defence IT Security Officer, championed best practice to the user community, enforced acceptable use policy as well as conducting security briefs and assessments. ▪︎Ensured cryptographic materials and sensitive areas were being properly managed through audits and inspections.▪︎Planned and managed an upscaled military exercise as the sites technical lead and was instrumental in the planning and provision of technical solutions.Key Achievements ▪︎Audited and subsequently rationalised the sites classified network assets resulting in over 100 nonessential workstations being removed from the migration rollout project - saving over £100,000. many man-hours, and improving the overall security of the network.▪︎Oversaw significant updates in security procedure following a large downscale in numbers of personnel on site through CV 19 pandemic. Part of a large team responsible for the serviceability of comms circuits between Cyprus and the UK. This involved preventative maintenance as well as liasing with agencies internationally to rectify faults.
