My career is a random series of events with one throughline: words. I started in story development under Oscar- and Emmy-winning filmmakers; picked up dry cleaning and waited tables badly (sorry about the shrimp, Mr. Apple); then served as an Editor and Senior Copywriter for AOL/HuffPo and Bravo TV where I worked on Top Chef, Watch What Happens Live, The Real Housewives, and several other hit shows starring spray-tanned protagonists.Jumped into advertising, leading content + creative at Paramore Digital + OBP. My clients included LinkedIn, LifeWay, Gatlinburg Tourism, Tennessee Tourism, Cracker Barrel, United Soybean Board and a lot of other ones, too. It was a busy and prolific time where I wrote and directed award-winning, goosebump spots for YWCA, Vanderbilt, Explore Gwinnett and Visit Abingdon, and served as the showrunner on the NASCAR(NASCAR!) docuseries “Two-Track Mind,” presented by Nutrien Ag Solutions. My original short films SHED and THE LAND REMAINS have been official selections at legit, people-go-to-them film festivals, and I was honored to be named AAF-Nashville's Copywriter of the Year in 2018. More recently, at GS&F, I ran the creative department and said things in meetings so that clients like the Nashville Predators, LP Building Solutions, Juice Plus+, and Travel + Leisure got noticed. I'm now in-house at Wellvana building an enlightened brand that helps doctors deliver life-changing healthcare to their patients. Words can change lives. Just look at mine.
