I have been in the heavy/civil contracting business for over 25 years, I have estimated, managed and supervised projects up to $600 million dollars. I was most recently constructing a new Dedicated Freight Corridor roadway for Massport coming out of Conley Terminal which includes 3000 feet of new roadway including 550 feet of new bridge across the Reserved Channel. The scope includes major demolition of in-water structures in the channel that served the Exelon Power Plant, contaminated soils, asbestos piping, construction of a new park along East First Street. All this while maintaining operations for the MBTA power plant, Exelon operations as well as the freight movement into and out of Conley Terminal.
