I joined Clydesdale Bank, specifically the Accelerator team, to lead the technology efforts on a number of exciting projects that spread across the entire banks product portfolio. As part of this role I defined, implemented and coached strategy on improving how we can deliver great technical solutions to real world problems for CYBGs customers. This involved working with various 3rd party consultancies, as well as in house development teams.

I joined EveryLIFE on a short term contract to help them advance their mobile product, and train up their new staff. EveryLife provide innovative new technology-led approaches to the care industry in the UK.

Founder, director and lead developer.I am the director of my own consultancy firm, working with multiple clients around the world on software projects of varying sizes. This involves working with clients directly, as well as managing relationships with sub contractors and clients.

I worked with Waracle consulting on ways to improve mobile release processes and pipelines on site with their clients. I was mainly focussed on work with Clydesdale Bank, but also presented workshops to their wider client base. Implemented mobile release pipelines and processes to integrate agile development workforces with wider release processes within regulated environments.

While working with Waracle and Clydesdale Bank, I acted as Interim Head of Mobile for Clydesdale. I worked to coordinate release scopes, aligning development resources to project demands and managed a team of 10-15 developers from a host of suppliers. During my tenure, I worked on introducing and maturing multiple processes and frameworks to improve the efficiency of mobile development within the bank.

I joined the team at Clydesdale bank to work on a large scale mobile banking application that made use of Swift, Core Data, Certificate pinning, REST APIs and much more. I specialised and became the defacto expert in mobile application releasing within the bank, improving processes, tooling and project setup around scheduled releases as well as incident fixes. I also speerheaded the effort to make the iOS codebase support three different brands, with all the complexities involved from code, to project structure, all the way to releasing to the stores.

I was originally brought in to maintain a large scale Objective C codebase. But after a short while was asked to completely architect, design and implement a green-field project in Swift within the bank. I was asked to be the Lead Developer on this project, and successfully got the project to launch status.
