This role is responsible for leading teaching staff and the delivery of educational excellence to students through the implementation of an innovative suite of products and services that meet the needs of students and industry stakeholders. Accountable for the financial success of the programme, the Head of Digital Technologies holds strong ties with industry and creates growth opportunities.

This role has overall responsibility for the academic and learning success of students. The Dean of College will drive innovation and grow the organisation through effective management strategies. As the organisation leader, the Dean of College will ensure the organisation is responsive to industry by producing graduates that are highly sought after.

This role provides leadership to the Faculty of Creative Industries and Business at Unitec Institute of Technology to ensure continuous academic quality improvement, and participation in regularly reviewing, refining and developing academic quality assurance systems and academic policies and processes.The role manages and administers, in collaboration with the Academic Service Centre andFCIB Academic Quality Support and Operations team (AQSO), the development, implementation, and adherence to a range of academic quality assurance systems and development processes to ensure all courses and programmes are approved, accredited and monitored in accordance with NZQA, Institute and Faculty regulations, policies, and procedures.The Faculty Academic Manager proactively advises and guides all Faculty staff in all matters relating to academic quality assurance and academic development in the Faculty, ensuring that associated risks are identified and mitigated.

Responsible for programme design, teaching and learning (pedagogical) development and provide academic leadership forthe programme. Develop, monitor proposals concerning programme development, design and review,Work closely with Programme Committees and the Faculty Quality Manager in matters relating to course evaluations, issues arising fromstudent feedback and quality management systems.Develop, review and recommend ideas for academic programme delivery and assessment, ensuring current practice/programme regulations are kept up-­‐to-­‐date.Ensure teaching, learning and assessment materials and methods match the programme’s philosophy, aims and development of students’ capabilities,
