As part of the Senior Leadership Team at the National Online School, I am proud to say that I have helped to lead our school’s Department for Education accreditation as an online school. I am motivated by the sparks my lessons ignite and the embers fanned into flames as pupils progress, become more and do more than they previously thought possible. I am regularly rewarded when pupils see themselves in a new light, with a new confidence and resilience that makes them feel able to take on any challenge. Learning might begin, be challenged and developed in the classroom; but its benefits, rewards and the love of it last a lifetime. And at the heart of all this? 'Just a teacher'…
