My role involved the sourcing of of talented undergraduates for numerous positions in the IT sector, mainly for Sales positions. Following this I would screen applicants, ensuring they meet the company's requirements, before evaluating the candidate. If I believed that the candidate was suitable then I would advance them to the next stage of the process. This was an Industrial Placement as part of my BSc Business Management degree. My day-to-day roles included creating, managing and executing quarterly Partner webinars in 11 languages, which involved collaborating with Product Specialists and Sales in order to ensure correct content. I also assisted with regular Partner communications, as well as being part of a project to set up and execute a monthly internal communication. I was also responsible for Purchase Order management and training for the EMEA Marketing team. In addition, I assisted the Marketing team prepare for Partner events, and act as the contact point for any general Marketing queries in EMEA. Other roles included reporting and analysis for the Marketing team, and student projects which included managing a fundraising event at the European Headquarters and working with Senior Management.

During my 3 years at Tesco I held two roles in different stores. In Loudwater Superstore I received training enabling me to run the checkouts. This included managing up to 30 people at certain times, and dealing with any problems they may have, as well as hitting targets set by senior management. In addition, I have trained up numerous new members of staff, worked in Customer Services solving customers’ problems and issues, and helped out in other departments of the store. When I moved to an Express store in Brighton my role changed. My roles and responsibilities included ensuring customers have the best experience possible and dealing with any problems they may incur. Other responsibilities encompassed taking deliveries, maintaining the high presentation standard of the store including replenishing stock, and dealing with any technical problems.
